Microwaves are the energy which is absorb by the food particles inside the woven. These waves make the water vibrates which is present inside the food particles and makes the food particles to rub against one another. Thus, drives heat energy to cook the whole food. More the energy supplied better and faster the food gets cooked. However, this is possible either by increasing the power supply or easily increasing the time of cooking.Microwave ovens have more merits than de-merits. Some food cooked in this oven gives more taste and flavor other than cooking in traditional methods. These ovens are safer to use and save the cost of electricity bill. Also, these machines do not require pre-heating before using as traditional oven, and could be use after switching on. Unlike the gas stove which heats the whole kitchen area. Thus, make the place hot and uncomfortable.

Cooking in microwave oven often reduces the cooking odor in the room and cook food faster. Another advantage of this oven is that it did not have to wash before using. You could only wipe out the dirt and food before using it.

Apart from this there are some disadvantages too. Some of the major disadvantages are as follow:

Food overcooked sometimes.
Food can be cooked unevenly.
All kinds of food could not be cooked in microwave ovens.
Specific utensils are needed to cook food.
There are some limitations as well.
